Adding video and audio transitions

Overview

In Wildmoka, you can enhance your video content by applying Video and Audio transitions when publishing clips. These transitions can be used:

  • Between your main content and a Pre-roll or Post-roll,

  • Or between multiple segments in a Reel.

Transitions help smooth out cuts and deliver a more polished viewer experience.

Creating Transition Templates

You can create reusable transition templates to standardize your workflow and save time when publishing multiple clips.

To create a new transition template:

  1. Navigate to the Clip Management page.
  2. Go to the Decorators tab.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select:
    • Video Transitions for visual fades or animations
    • Audio Transitions for volume fades or sound bridges
  4. Choose an existing transition template and click Edit & Clone from the menu.
  5. Customize the transition:
    • Set duration
    • Choose visual or audio effects (e.g. fade to black, crossfade audio)
  6. Name and save the template

Transition templates can also be linked to Publish Templates, allowing automated application of transitions during publication.

Applying a Transition to a Clip

You can add transitions directly in the Clip Editor when creating or modifying clips.

To apply a transition:

  1. Click “Make Clip” to enter the clip editing interface.

  2. In the top toolbar, locate the Audio and Video Transition icons.

  3. Click the icon and select from the list of available transitions.

  4. To modify an existing transition:

    • Click the transition icon again
    • Adjust parameters such as color, fade type, or duration

If you're using a Publish Template, all pre-configured attributes will be applied automatically, including:

  • Pre-roll and Post-roll
  • Audio/Video transitions
  • Target Destinations

Using Transitions in Reels

When creating a Reel (a compilation of multiple clips):

  • Transitions can be applied between each clip for a seamless flow.
  • Simply select a transition between segments in the Reel Editor.
  • You can modify or replace individual transitions as needed.

Adding Custom Transitions

If you have custom motion graphics or overlays:

  1. Import them as Overlay Decorators.

  2. Use the “Move to Transition” option to convert them into reusable transition assets.
