Wildmoka supports the upload of video files directly into your account. Once uploaded, your video can be used in multiple ways across your production and publishing workflows.

📁 How Uploaded VOD Files Can Be Used

Once a VOD file is ingested, it can be:

  1. Stored as a clip – ready to be edited and published to social media or other platforms.

  2. Assigned as a decorator – used as a pre-roll or post-roll video to add branding elements to other clips.

  3. Used as a source video – from which smaller clips can be extracted using the clipping tool.

VOD content or existing video files can be uploaded as "video sources" into your Wildmoka account. Once uploaded the content can be used in any of three ways:

1. Stored as a clip that can be edited or modified then shared to social media.

2. Assigned as a "decorator" so it can be used as a pre/post-roll video.

3. Used as a video source so smaller sub-clips can be clipped out from the original source video.

🔼 Uploading a VOD Video File

Step-by-Step

  1. Go to the Content Management page
Navigate to the Imported Files tab.

  1. Upload your video file

    • Click the Upload button.

    • Choose your video file from your local machine or cloud storage service.

  1. (Optional) Use Advanced Upload for more control
Enable the Advanced Upload option to access extra settings:

    • Transcode Profiles: Choose which renditions/formats should be generated.

    • Create Clip When Done: Automatically generate a clip from the uploaded file for immediate use.

    • Type: Select Video or Overlay depending on the content's purpose.

    • Multi-Audio: If enabled on your account, multiple audio tracks can be uploaded manually.

  1. Upload Confirmation

    • Once selected, the file upload begins automatically.

    • A blue notification will confirm the ingest process has started.

    • You may safely leave the tab—upload continues in the background.

    • A progress bar will indicate ingest progress.

  1. Ingest Completion

    • A green notification confirms the ingest is complete.

    • You can now find the video under the Imported Files view and start working on it.

✂️ Editing and Publishing Video Clips

If you selected Create Clip When Done, a clip version of the uploaded file is created automatically and placed in your Clips gallery.

To edit or share a clip:

  1. Navigate to the Clips tab.

  2. Click the Menu icon on the clip thumbnail.

  3. Select Edit to open the clip editor.

  4. Adjust the In/Out points as needed.

  5. Use the Share button to distribute the clip to your configured social media destinations.

  6. Any edits made are saved to the current clip. If you'd like to preserve the original version, clone the clip first.

🎬 Using the VOD File as Pre-Roll or Post-Roll

You can assign a clip as a decorator, enabling it to be used as branded intro/outro content for other video clips.

Steps to Set Up a Decorator Clip:

  1. During upload, ensure Create Clip When Done is checked.

  2. After the upload finishes, go to the Clips gallery.

  3. Click the Menu icon on the clip and choose Mark as Decorator.

  4. Navigate to the Decorators tab within the Clips page.

  5. Use the filter to view Pre-roll or Post-roll decorators.

  6. You can now edit this decorator clip just like any other.

➕ Assigning a Pre-Roll or Post-Roll to a Clip
