Yes. If your live stream has embedded EIA-608 closed captions, then we automatically ingest that data with your video stream. When a video is clipped, it will automatically include the closed caption data as well (see this by using the CC button below the player, or 'Edit Subtitles').
If your live stream does not have closed captions, these can be added in a variety of ways -
- Manually - use the 'Edit Subtitles' option above a clip to create new subtitles if these are not present
- Automatically on Demand - use the 'Edit Subtitles' option and if you can see a 'Speech to Text' button above the right hand column, you can launch transcription. This is an add-on your Backlight Rep can enable (at a cost).
- Automatically from the Audio - your Backlight Rep can enable (at a cost) live transcription on your signal to auto-transcribe your spoken word in streams
- Automatically as Translations - your Backlight Rep can enable (at a cost) live translations on your signal to auto-translate your spoken word in streams (results may take up to a minute to appear against your content as full sentences need to be processed)
