Getting started with Live Studio

Whether you're creating tailored feeds for different regions, languages, or digital platforms, Live Studio gives you the tools to remix live content in real-time with flexibility, precision, and minimal resources. Here's a full overview of how to use Live Rooms inside Live Studio.

What Is Live Studio For?

Live Studio is specifically designed to enable the localization or re-production of existing live broadcasts—often known as alternate broadcasts.

To support this, it offers a comprehensive toolkit, including:

  • Smooth switching between multiple live video sources
  • Real-time streaming to a wide range of digital platforms
  • Support for remote guest participation with audio/video contributions
  • Scene management with precise, pixel-perfect overlays
  • Automated subtitle generation from live audio
  • Integration with third-party HTML graphics systems like Singular.live

All of these features work together to deliver efficient, adaptable, and high-quality alternate live productions.

It can function independently or as a companion to Channel Studio, where live streams are programmed as part of 24/7 or pop-up channels.

  • Edit text fields (e.g., speaker name, location) directly in the scene editor

  • Control audio behavior per scene: pin tracks, mute, or set volume levels

Live Studio allows you to invite guests to your live production:

  • Generate a guest link to send to your contributor

  • Guests can join from a browser (mobile or desktop)

  • They can share:

    • Microphone
