Channel Editor Interface

Continuity Playlist

Once inside a specific channel, you enter the continuity playlist interface, divided into key functional areas:

1. Preview & Playback Controls

  • Live preview window (top-left)

  • Controls like Take, Take Next, and timecode countdowns

  • Visual indicators for how much time remains in the current clip

2. Shotbox

Located below the preview, the shotbox allows for manual real-time interactions:

  • Add overlays or graphics templates

  • Trigger ad breaks

3. Continuity Playlist

  • Includes VODs, blocks, and live segments

  • Real-time drag-and-drop support

  • Timeline metadata for each item:

    • Planned start time

    • Estimated end time

    • Duration

    • Associated branding template

  • Right-click options:

    • Skip or delete

    • Take Item(play immediately)

    • Copy/Paste

    • Watch (send item to preview panel)

Additional Features

  • Watchlist: Display the selected item to a high-priority panel with updated time tracking.

  • Tracks actual vs. theoretical start times and time delta.

  • Helpful for monitoring critical timings (e.g., hitting a fixed broadcast time at 8:00 PM).

Content Library (Right Panel)

The content library is divided into three sections:

Section Description
Blocks Structured containers grouping clips, or ads. Two types: Program Block and Ad Break Block.
Media VOD assets, including clips imported or created in Wildmoka. The media library can integrate external repositories such as Iconik and Zype.
Live Active or upcoming live rooms. Can be dragged into the playlist like other content.

You can toggle between Production Playlist view and Scheduler view using the control in the top right.

  • Scheduler View displays content on a 7-day rolling calendar

  • Ideal for planning future programming

  • Supports same drag-and-drop functionality from the library

  • Multi-day navigation with left/right scrolling

  • Calendar rows reflect hours; columns reflect days

Scheduler View

Multi-Selection and Bulk Actions

Channel Studio supports multi-selection of playlist items, allowing you to:

  • Move, copy, or delete multiple items at once

  • Works identically in both Playlist and Scheduler views

Channel Branding Automation

Branding your channel is simplified with Wildmoka templates.

Key Features:

  • Automated insertion of graphics and branding elements

  • Branding applied per content type: Ads, Trailers, Lives, and VODs

  • Easily configured in Channel Settings

For template creation instructions, see: How to Create Wildmoka Branding Templates

Once templates are set, Channel Studio applies them automatically during playout.
