Branding templates are graphics templates (title bars, overlays, logos, etc.) that are applied over your video content during live playout in Channel Studio. These graphics can be tailored to match your brand identity and can vary depending on the type of content being aired (e.g. live, VOD, filler, ads).
How It Works
Channel branding relies on Wildmoka Templates, which are preconfigured graphic overlays managed in the Templates section of the platform.
Applying Branding to a Playlist Item
Open your Channel Studio and navigate to the playlist view.
Click on any item in the playlist (Live, VOD, Filler, Ad).
On the right panel, you'll see the Branding Templates section.
From here, you can assign a specific branding template to that asset.
Templates applied this way are unique to the selected item and can be changed up until the moment of broadcast.
Default Branding by Content Type
In addition to manual assignment, Channel Studio allows you to configure default branding templates based on content type:
Live
VOD
Filler
Ads
These defaults ensure the right branding is applied automatically whenever content of that type is scheduled for playout.
To configure defaults:
Go to the Channel Settings.
Look for the section that allows template association by content type.
Set a default template for each category.

Branding Template Availability
Within the same Channel Settings, you can also define which branding templates should be available to select manually during playout. This gives producers flexibility to override defaults when needed.
