Wildmoka supports the use of dynamic variables within publish metadata fields. This allows you to automatically populate metadata during publishing based on information retrieved from Iconik.
This is especially useful when you want to apply pre-configured metadata values inherited from Iconik, ensuring consistent and automated metadata management across both platforms.
Referencing Iconik Metadata Fields
To reference an Iconik metadata field in a Wildmoka publish destination, use the following variable format:
{{ iconik.xxxx }}Where xxxx is the exact name of the metadata field you want to recall from Iconik.
These variables can be used:
Directly in metadata fields
Inside templates to standardize metadata application across multiple clips
Viewing Iconik Metadata for an Asset
To locate the correct field names:
Go to Assets → Browse External Content
Hover over an Iconik asset
Click the information (ⓘ) button that appears as an overlay
This opens a detailed view of all metadata associated with that asset, making it easy to identify the correct field names to reference.
