The new Clip Editor is a major upgrade to Wildmoka core clipping experience, purpose-built to meet the demands of vertical short-form video creation.
New Clients: Effective from our January 12, 2026 release, the new Clip Editor is enabled by default.
Existing Clients: Existing clients can transition from legacy editor to new clip editor on their own timeline throughout 2026
A Note of Thanks This release was made possible by our Beta Program participants. We are deeply grateful to the organizations and users whose hands-on feedback helped shape the final product.
Legacy Clip Editor
New Clip Editor
Transition
Existing customers have the flexibility to transition to the new Clip Editor on a timeline that suits their operational needs.
To ensure a smooth migration, you can maintain access to both the Legacy and New editors simultaneously. This allows you to onboard teams or departments over to the new interface in stages.
How to Activate
To enable the new Clip Editor on your tenant, please reach out to your Wildmoka representative, who will assist with the configuration.
Permissions & User Preferences
In environments where both the legacy and new editors are enabled, access is controlled by two distinct settings: Profile Permissions and Individual User Preferences.
Profile permissions
Administrators can control which user groups have the right to access the new interface.
Navigation: Go to Users & Profiles management > Profile Management tab > Permissions tab.
Setting: Toggle "Enable new Clip Editor."
Default State: This is unchecked by default for existing profiles to prevent accidental workflow changes.
Individual User Preferences
Once the permission is granted at the Profile level, individual users can choose their default Clip Editor.
Navigation: Open the User Menu
Setting: Toggle "Use new clip editor by default."
Default State: This is checked by default.
[IMPORTANT] Any user who had access during the Beta program will have the new Clip Editor set as their default. However, users can uncheck this setting at any time to return to the legacy editor.
